Bet Victor App Review

Bet Victor is one of the biggest sportsbooks on the planet, and every single day, millions of bets are placed through their proprietary betting system. In this Bet Victor app review, you’ll learn the truth about what it’s actually like to bet with them, and why I suggest you don’t!

Our Rating: 0.7 out of 5 stars (0.7 / 5)

In business since 1948, they’re often regarded as being one of the world’s best known betting platforms. But as I soon found out, there’s some nefarious activity going on behind closed doors – and I’d highly recommend you stay away.

Key Features

Affiliates are a major driving force behind online gambling websites. They help send new players to the sites, and receive a small commission in return. It’s a win-win system – and it works well. BetVictor, however, decided to completely screw over their affiliates – laying out a set of predatory terms and conditions that affected affiliates and players.

Because of these clauses, BetVictor ended up essentially stealing money from affiliates – and, if they’re willing to do this to affiliates, what else are they willing to do to their paying customers?

Quite a lot actually. It seems to me as if they’ll do anything to keep other people’s money.

What’s more, BetVictor also has a very poor record when it comes to resolving customer complaints.

I was able to find hundreds of complaints from players who placed a bet – only to find that BetVictor had offered the price in “error”. This happens – and most bookies choose to honour the bets as a goodwill gesture. BetVictor, on the other hand, do not – and many players found their complaints ignored.

Website / App Design & Ease Of Use

BetVictor’s website isn’t bad, to be fair – I found it fairly fast and relatively easy-to-use. Creating an account is pretty straightforward, and I do like how there’s a simple way to view any bonuses available to you – including any wagering requirements that remain attached to the bonus.

However, their mobile app leaves quite a lot to be desired. It’s essentially just a mobile “skin” of their desktop website – with a mobile-optimized navigation menu added. To be honest, it’s nothing special – and it certainly doesn’t rival the likes of other big-name operators who’ve chosen to release a mobile app.

Software

BetVictor’s software is proprietary. To my knowledge, they’re one of (if not the) only major bookmakers to not use Playtech’s software. Even the online casino part of their site uses proprietary software. While their websites works well enough, I can’t help but feel it’s not the easiest to navigate around.

Choice of Betting Markets

I think BetVictor’s selection of betting markets is the only real plus point of their website. They offer a huge range of markets, with an extensive selection of football bets for you to take advantage of. In fact, it’s their football betting options that helped them rise to fame in the first place, and you’ll find everything from major European leagues to South American and Asian leagues on offer.

They also offer some of the better horse racing odds – and their Best Odds Guaranteed promotion runs across all UK and Irish horse meetings. This ensures you do get the best possible price, even if you’ve placed a bet and the odds get shorter (worse.)

Along with the “popular” sports, so to speak, BetVictor also offers a number of more unique betting markets. You can bet 24/7 on their virtual betting events, computer generated sports such as football and racing.

They have quite a vast array of watersports events, and they’ve also recently turned their attention to eSports. You can now wager on major eSports events, like Counter Strike and League of Legends. It’s a shame that BetVictor have proven themselves to be untrustworthy; their range of betting options is fantastic, and rivals some of the other big name bookies out there today.

Banking – Deposit/Withdrawal Options

Deposits & Withdrawals Given the size of their operation I was surprised to see how few payment methods BetVictor actually offers. Currently, they allow punters to make deposits and withdrawals using VISA, MasterCard, Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, BACS, and by International Bank Transfer.

I should point out that they don’t charge any fees to make deposits or withdrawals – but they do have quite a poor record when it comes to payout speeds.

Many players end up waiting 3 days for their withdrawals to be processed; any time during this processing period the withdrawal can be cancelled, which is something I really don’t like. I feel that players’ winnings should be paid out as quickly as deposits are taken – so it’s yet another reason why I’d recommend not playing at the bookie.

Safety and Security

security BetVictor holds two online gambling licenses; one from the UK Gambling Commission and one from the Gibraltar Gambling Commission. Both of these licenses are relatively well respected – the regulatory bodies are known for taking player complaints seriously.

This begs some major questions about how BetVictor are even able to still hold these licenses. Their “dodgy” behaviour is really questionable – and I, for one, am incredibly surprised they’re still able to hold onto both of these licenses. That being said, the UKGC is doing a major “cull” of rogue operators at the moment, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see some fines or sanctions come in, if BetVictor continues operating the way they are.

Customer Service/Support

support As I mentioned earlier, BetVictor’s customer support facility leaves a lot to be desired. They do offer a live chat portal – and their customer support representatives are pretty responsive – but as is the case with virtually all big-name brands, anything serious needs to be escalated to management and this can take a long time to resolve.

They also offer phone and email support; phone support is OK, but if you choose to send an email then you should expect to wait up to 24 hours to receive a response. Their customer support isn’t the worst in the world but it’s certainly not the best.

Allowed Countries

BetVictor welcomes players from all over the world. Although the feeling certainly isn’t mutual.

They do, however, have a number of restricted countries, including: Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Cuba, Estonia, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, French Southern and Antarctic Territories, Hong Kong SAR China, Iran, Malaysia, Moldova, Myanmar [Burma], North Korea, Philippines, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Miscellaneous Pacific Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the United States.

Currencies

BetVictor offers a variety of currencies at their site. You can deposit and bet using these currencies. They include: GBP, EUR, NOK, SEK, CHF, ZAR, USD, AUD, CAD and NZD.

Seriously guys, don’t join Bet Victor. They’re a terrible company and I don’t want you to spend your money there and regret it later. Check out our other betting apps reviews and you’ll easily be able to find somewhere much, much better to bet on sport.
