The blackjack cheat sheet is a printable, pocket-size version of the basic strategy charts.
A version of the cheat sheet is often found for sale in casino gift shops. But we’re offering you a better, more readable, and easier-to-use sheet for free.
You can either print this out and carry a hard copy with you, or save this page to your mobile so you can refer back to it quickly and easily, any time you like.
How to Use the Blackjack Cheat Sheet
The blackjack strategy card contains a table that is split into sections for hard hands, soft hands, and pairs.
Look for the row that corresponds to your (player) hand, and the column that corresponds to the dealer’s up card. You will then see the correct action to take (hit, stand, double down, split or surrender).
The table is color coded for ease of use.
The blackjack cheat sheet is a condensed and simplified version of the standard basic strategy rules for a blackjack table using 4-8 decks, where the dealer stands on soft 17.
These are the most common table rules at real-world casinos.
Note that not all casinos will allow you to refer to a blackjack strategy card at the tables, especially during busy periods, as it can slow up the game. However, they can always be used in online and mobile blackjack app play, where the gameplay is not time sensitive.
For ease of use, and in order to make the chart truly pocket-sized, it has been necessary to make some minor changes to the strategy (such as the action for double if allowed, else stand). However, these only have a very minor effect on the house edge when playing this strategy, and therefore it was considered a worthwhile trade-off.
