Infinite Blackjack is a fun and fast variation of the classic blackjack game. It is played online, or on real-money mobile apps, with live dealers.
The “Infinite” part of the name doesn’t mean unlimited table stakes – in fact, it refers to the fact that the game can potentially have an infinite number of players, all playing the same hand!
In this guide, I’ll explain exactly how Infinite Blackjack works, how to play, what strategy to use, and whether it’s actually any good, based on my own personal experience.
Objective
The objective of Infinite Blackjack is exactly the same as any other blackjack variation. You, the player, aim to get a higher hand than the dealer and get as close to 21 as possible without going bust.
The game follows the standard blackjack rules. Players can hit or stand (take another card or stick with their current cards), split, or double down (double the size of their bet).
Optional side bets are also available.
Gameplay
In Infinite Blackjack, there is only one player position on the table. After you have chosen your stake and placed your chips on the table, the dealer will deal two cards to the player position, and two to him or herself.
The player cards are communal – they are shared by all players that are taking part in the game.
Players can then decide to hit, stand or double down based on the cards they have been dealt and the dealer’s upcard.
If you choose to hit, split or double down, you will receive more cards. However, the additional cards you get are digital. This means that you are the only player who sees them.
In this way, your decisions don’t affect the way the hand plays out for all the other players, and their decisions don’t affect you.
After all players have made their decisions, the dealer will reveal his hand and play it out according to the normal blackjack dealer rules.
Betting
When playing Infinite Blackjack, players must first place a bet. The minimum and maximum bets are determined by the casino, so check the table limits before you play.
The table minimums are usually much lower in Infinite Blackjack than they are for most other live dealer blackjack games.
Side Bets
Depending on the version of Infinite Blackjack you are playing, you may have the option to place side bets. These are placed before the cards are dealt, at the same time as you place your wager on the main game.
Examples of common side bets include Match the Dealer, Perfect Pairs, and 21+3.
Side bets are independent of the main game and do not affect the way your hand plays out. They usually offer a higher potential return, but also have a greater house edge.
Strategy
When playing Infinite Blackjack, it is important to remember that you are only playing against the dealer – not any of the potentially infinite number of other players who are sharing your hand.
Therefore, you should adopt the same basic strategy as you would with classic blackjack.

Other Tips
Check the table rules before you start your first hand. In particular, make sure that blackjack pays 6/4 and that the dealer stands soft 17 (these are the two main factors that make the RTP better for you).
You should also check the pay tables if you plan to make any side bets.
Infinite Blackjack gives you the option to send messages to the dealer. I personally avoid this as it only distracts me from the game.
However, if you do choose to use the messaging window, remember your table etiquette and be respectful. The dealer is only doing a job and if the cards don’t fall your way, it isn’t their fault!
Pros & Cons: Is Infinite Blackjack any Good?
At its core, Infinite Blackjack plays like any other game of blackjack, with the same basic rules and strategies.
You can still hit or stand as you would in a normal game of blackjack, and all natural 21s are still paid out as normal. But with Infinite Blackjack, there is an unlimited number of players at the table who each have the opportunity to play the same hand as you.
Personally, I have found that playing Infinite Blackjack online is one of the best ways to enjoy live blackjack online.
The main benefit is that it is much faster than other live dealer games. There are two main reasons for this:
- You can start playing straight away – there is no need to wait for a seat to become available.
- There is no waiting on other players to make their move. Instead, all players are playing at the same time, which cuts down the wait time considerably.
Another great thing about Infinite Blackjack is that it’s often available with lower table stakes compared to other live dealer blackjack games.
With most live dealer games, the number of seats at the table is limited, so the operator needs to run the game with higher table minimums in order to make the game profitable. But because Infinite Blackjack has unlimited players using the same hand, you are not tying up a seat when you play, which means the stakes can be lower.
As such, this is a good introduction to live dealer games for new players, or those with a smaller bankroll.
One negative aspect is that there are not many variations of the game available online. So if you prefer American, European, or Vegas Strip blackjack then you’re less likely to find an infinite game that meets your needs.
Conclusion
Infinite Blackjack is an interesting concept that provides a good entry-level introduction to live dealer online blackjack.
It provides faster gameplay with lower stakes, and cuts out the inconvenience of having to wait for a seat.
Although it lacks variety, this is in part compensated by the choice of side bets available. Overall, if you are looking for a “best of both worlds” combination of digital and live dealer blackjack, then Infinite is certainly worth a try.
