Leo Vegas Casino Review

In this Leo Vegas app review, I’ll explain the various features, advantages and disadvantages of both the app and the casino itself. You’ll see why I’m not able to recommend them at the moment.
Right now there are better casino apps than Leo Vegas. So if you came here looking to download the app straight away, I want to start by giving you some alternatives which are a much better option for you at the moment.

Key Features
In recent years they have made obvious moves to try to expand their user base and acquire a lot of new customers. They started spending a lot of money on TV adverts and sponsorships, including the Leicester Tigers rugby union team.
By doing that it seems they’ve taken their eye of the ball in terms of the service they’re actually providing. It’s been getting worse in quite a few ways. The advertising itself has also landed them in hot water with a big fine from the UKGC for misleading customers. More on that later.
They do have plenty of games available and the Leo Vegas app is certainly not the worst one out there, although there are areas where it can be improved. It’s not bad, but neither is it good. And unlike other betting sites, we only recommend the best.
Safety and Security
Looking at their UK license, you can see details of the action taken against Leo Vegas by the UKGC. This was a fine of £600,000 plus costs for the following breaches of the license conditions:
- Was responsible for 41 misleading adverts.
- Failed to return funds to 11,205 customers when they chose to self-exclude and close their account.
- Sent marketing material to 1,894 people who had previously self-excluded.
- Allowed 413 previously self-excluded customers to gamble without speaking to those customers first or applying a 24-hour cooling off period before allowing them to gamble.
This is something I don’t like to see, and it makes me very wary of playing at the casino again.
Leo Vegas Welcome Bonus
At the time of writing, Leo Vegas were offering free spins on Book of Dead slot to new customers. There was also a first deposit bonus, but it had a 35 x wagering requirement.
Leo Vegas Casino App
There are dedicated Leo Vegas apps available for both Android and iOS devices. The apps run quite smoothly overall when playing standard casino and slot games.
There were quite a few glitches when using the live dealer casino, but these may have been due to issues with the streaming rather than the app itself. Overall, the apps are quite easy to use and performance was fine.
They also have a responsive website which can run on any mobile device.
Software
Leo Vegas casino uses a range of software providers including many of the well known names such as Playtech, Microgaming, NetEnt, Cryptologic (WagerLogic), Evolution Gaming and Play n Go. This gives you access to a wide choice of games on desktop and mobile.
Choice Of Games
You can play slots on all the major gaming platforms, as listed above. You’ll also find a good selection of table games, and the live dealer platform is a nice addition as well – when it works. I had a few problems accessing this on mobile, even over a wi-fi connection.
But overall, this is definitely a good aspect of the casino.
It’s worth noting that they also have a sportsbook which you can access through the same account. However, the choice of markets here is limited. So if you’re serious about sports betting, this is unlikely to meet your needs and you’ll probably want a dedicated sports betting app instead.
Banking – Deposit/Withdrawal Options
There is a fairly lengthy processing time, which means e-wallet withdrawals can sometimes take up to 24 hours to hit your account. This is very slow compared to some other mobile casinos.
Supported Payment Methods: Bank Transfer, Credit Card (Not UK/Ireland), Debit Card, Neteller, and Skrill
Customer Service/Support
I couldn’t find much information at all on the website help section, and this is something they need to spend more time and resources on improving.
The live chat connected within a reasonable time period – a little less than 5 minutes. The operator did not seem to be a natibve English speaker, but was able to provide basic answers to my questions.
I did get the feeling that if I had a more complex question, she would have struggled to get me the help I needed. So I would not be overly confident using this in the future. Again this is an area which Leo Vegas should spend more time and money on.
Allowed Countries
Leo Vegas has a license in the UK, Malta, Denmark and Sweden. They are able to accept customers from various locations around the world, but there are quite a few exclusions including Australia and the USA.
Accepts Players From: CAN, GBR, IRL, and NZL
Verdict
Overall this is not a terrible casino, but it’s not a brilliant one either. What concerns me is that it seems to be getting worse over time and not better. So while I don’t recommend Leo Vegas at the moment, I will keep an eye on them and update this review if things change.
